Important Announcements from the Steering Committee Meeting:
7th Tradition & Group Treasurer Report
Our Treasurer reports that our net income from 7th Tradition Donations for the month is ($223.33). We would like to thank our members for their generosity.
Our February 2025 SVFG P&L Statement can be found here.
From the Board
Minutes from the JULY 20TH Board Meeting can be found here.
We have compiled a list of trusted servants to help us keep our club running smoothly.
The projected launch date for membership is September 1st. Once this is done, the Board’s first order of business will be to hire a club manager. They are required to have a minimum of two years of sobriety. If you have recommendations for the club manager position or have questions, speak to Ryan.
Bingo was a success! We raised about $1,207 for the Board. Thank you to everyone that attended, and a special thank you to those who volunteered their time and made it happen!
Secretary Announcements
REMINDER ABOUT PROCESS FOR CHANGING INDIVIDUAL MEETING FORMAT
The recommended protocol is to have the change announced at the meeting for two consecutive weeks. On the third week, a group conscience vote occurs. If there are dissenting votes, the minority opinion should be given and the group should vote again. If this process looks like it will take more than a few minutes, best practice is to call for an executive meeting and proceed with the vote at the conclusion of the regular meeting. Any interested parties can stay after and participate in the vote/discussion.
Please let the Registrar and Webmaster know if any changes are made so we can ensure they are reflected on our group meeting schedule.
PAYPAL
The Steering Committee has also voted to rescind our prior vote about Paypal. We will continue to have Paypal as an option for the 7th Tradition donations.
SECRETARY TURNOVER
Turnover of the meeting secretaries went well. Reminder that there is a small white board upstairs and downstairs for
any open secretary commitments that need to be filled at the last minute. Also, any secretaries that didn’t attend our workshop should see Kerry for any questions. The next workshop will be in November.
Grapevine
The Grapevine is looking for a new non-trustee director. There are also trustee positions open and the Grapevine has a workbook that goes over details of these positions. See Alan for more information.
The Grapevine now has a Youtube channel with videos in ASL and audio recordings of speakers from YPAA.
They are still calling for Veteran AAs for an interview project.
General Service Representative
Thank you Rob for volunteering to be our new GSR representative!
