Saddleback Valley Fellowship
The Saddleback Valley Fellowship as a whole (often referred to as “the Saddleback Club,” or just “the Club”) is governed by two separate entities: the Center and the Group. Each has its specific function:

RAN BY THE BOARD
NON-PROFIT 501c(3) NOT AFFILIATED WITH AA/AL-ANON OR GOVERNED BY AA TRADITIONS
RESPONSIBLE FOR LEGAL AND FINANCES AT THE ADMIN LEVEL, I.E. TAX FILING, RENT, CITY COMPLIANCE
FACILITATES MEMBERSHIP, MERCHANDISE, AND ON-SITE SERVICES
THE GROUP
RAN BY THE STEERING COMMITTEE
COORDINATES MEETINGS, 7TH TRADITION BUDGET, GSR/INTERGROUP, LITERATURE, AND SUPPLIES
APPROVES NEW MEETINGS AND MAINTAINS MEETING SCHEDULE
EACH MEETING IS AUTONOMOUS, BUT THOSE SHARING OUR GROUP NUMBER OPERATE UNDER GROUP GUIDANCE
The Saddleback Valley Fellowship Group is a member of Alcoholics Anonymous® and follows all AA Traditions and Guidelines. As a 501c(3), the Center is NOT a part of, nor affiliated with AA. In keeping with AA’s 6th Tradition, which states “An A.A. group ought never endorse, finance or lend the A.A. name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property and prestige divert us from our primary purpose,” the Group is governed separately and follows the Relationship Between AA and Clubs guidelines in its dealings with the Center.
