It is time to turn over service positions on the Saddleback Valley Fellowship Group Steering Committee.
ALL positions will be open for election!
Steering Committee positions are a 2 year commitment.
We give much thanks and appreciation to the current Steering Committee and the service they have so selflessly provided as dedicated members of the 2022 – 2024 Committee!!

Steering Committee Group Guidelines (formerly Bylaws)
The Group Guidelines Committee continues to work diligently to update our Group Guidelines to ensure the continued smooth operation of our group. Please click the link to review the proposed changes.
SVF Group Guidelines (DRAFT)
Further discussion will occur at the next Steering Committee Meeting on May 19th.
Plan to attend to weigh in on potential changes.
New Meeting Proposals & Changes to Existing Meetings:
Any new meetings wishing to use space at SVFC must be approved by the Steering Committee. Proposals must be made in person at any scheduled Steering Committee. Please bring a copy of the proposed Leader’s Format for the Committee’s review. As a reminder, at this time, only AA or Al-Anon meetings are held at SVFC.
Existing meetings wishing to change the format of their meeting must also receive approval from the Steering Committee. These proposals must be made in person at any scheduled Steering Committee meeting and a copy of the new Leader’s Format should be provided for review.
Secretary Announcements:
SECRETARY WORKSHOP
SVFC Secretary workshops will now be held every 3 months. The workshops provide valuable information such as roles/responsibilities, SVFC rules, meeting decorum, etc. Keep an eye out for the date of the next Secretary Workshop.
LITERATURE SALES
Please make sure that when selling literature, you are using the separate literature envelopes. If someone is paying with Venmo or Paypal, make sure they include in the notes that the payment is for literature.
As the cost of literature has increased, take note that the prices in our literature cabinets HAVE changed. Please be sure to use the correct prices when announcing or selling literature:
Big Books are now $12.00.
Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions are now $11.00.
MEETING BOARDS & SECRETARY INFORMATION
The downstairs AND upstairs meeting boards HAVE BEEN UPDATED! Please check regularly, add your name to your meeting AND email your contact info to registrar@saddlebackfellowship.com. Email the following info in this order:
- Preferred Email address
- Meeting Day & Time (Name of meeting)
- First name & Last Initial
- Phone #
- Sobriety Date
SVFC Center Conduct & Discipline Guidelines:
To ensure the continued safety and security of everyone attending meetings at Saddleback Valley Fellowship Center, the Board has updated the SVFC Meeting Conduct and Discipline Guidelines. The following link can be used to view the Meeting Conduct and Discipline Guidelines and to fill out a Discipline Request Form (www.saddlebackfellowship.com/discipline). Paper forms are also available at the club.
All Discipline Requests will be routed to the SVFC Board and addressed accordingly.
SVFC Board Donations:
Donors wishing to make donations to the Board (separate from 7th tradition), can now contribute directly to the Board via Zelle at boardtreasurer@saddlebackfellowship.com.
Lifeline Submissions:
If you would like to submit a story, article, poem, original artwork, or cartoon to be featured in an upcoming issue, please email oclifelineeditor@gmail.com.
