Important Announcements from the September 17th Steering Committee Meeting:
Proposed changes to the SVFC Board:
A sub-committee was previously created by the SVFC Board to review the governing structure of other AA boards to inform their proposed structure change to the SVFC board. The Board is proposing the inclusion of a membership option to support the Center’s operations. This would require a change to the Board by-laws. A new by-law sub-committee was formed to review, propose and draft changes to the existing by-laws. Additional information will be provided to the Group at the next Steering Committee meeting on Sunday, October 15, 2023 @ 3 PM (Upstairs Meeting Room).
- Proposed Membership Information
- $20 per month or $200 per year
- The Board is responsible for the building and facilities used by the Group
- Members will support the building and the Board
- Membership is NOT required to attend meetings at SVFC
- A table will be set up at the BBQ & Chili Cook Off to provide more information and address any questions and/or concerns.
SVFC BBQ & Chili Cook Off:
The 2nd Annual BBQ & Cook Off will be held Saturday, October 14, 2022 (11AM – 2PM). There will be a Kids Zone available, so bring the whole family! The Cook Off winner will also receive a trophy. Volunteers are still needed! Please see the sign-up lists in the club and encourage people to sign up. Event details and registration details are available in the club lobby. SECRETARY WORKSHOPS
SVFC Secretary workshops will now be held every 3 months. The workshops provide valuable information such as roles/responsibilities, SVFC rules, meeting decorum, etc.
The next Secretary workshop will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023.
LITERATURE SALES
As the cost of literature has increased, take note that the prices in our literature cabinets HAVE changed. Please be sure to use the correct prices when announcing or selling literature:
Big Books are now $12.00.
Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions are now $11.00.

The downstairs AND upstairs meeting boards HAVE BEEN UPDATED! Please check regularly, add your name to your meeting AND email your contact info to registrar@saddlebackfellowship.com. Email the following info in this order:

SVFC Center Conduct & Discipline Guidelines:
To ensure the continued safety and security of everyone attending meetings at Saddleback Valley Fellowship Center, the Board has updated the SVFC Meeting Conduct and Discipline Guidelines. The following link can be used to view the Meeting Conduct and Discipline Guidelines and to fill out a Discipline Request Form (www.saddlebackfellowship.com/discipline). Paper forms are also available at the club.
All Discipline Requests will be routed to the SVFC Board and addressed accordingly.
SVFC Board Donations:
Donors wishing to make donations to the Board (separate from 7th tradition), can now contribute directly to the Board via Zelle at boardtreasurer@saddlebackfellowship.com.
